Logos

I made 4 different logos that I hoped would be usable for my website in web design class. Since the url is called chairmander.com i wanted to incorporate the word chair into it and have it related to chairs which seems obvious or dragons from the "mander" part. as in salamander or charmander from pokemon.

Collage Assignment?

These are the pictures i used. I dont know what the source is. I just pulled them out of the collage folder.

I started off by taking the trees and clearing the sky. It might be difficult to see but the next step makes it more obvious.

I inserted the landscape painting or drawing and inserted into the background. This mightve been unnecessary but i think it added substance to the composition.

I took the black/white drawing of the people and cleared out the surrounding white area to make it easy to insert.

I cropped out the trees and some of the grass that I wanted to show over the people and then I adjusted the hue/saturation and levels to make it more colorful. I think this makes the black/white drawing stand out more.

I started off with a drawing of a robot; a Leo from Gundam Wing. I pulled it from google images.

I used the bucket tool to fill in the areas. This didn't produce the quality i wanted but it was so fast and easy that I stuck with it. Playing with some filters, specifically the "cutout" filter created a look I was satisfied with.

I inserted the robot into a picture of a street view that i also pulled off google. I cropped the areas that i wanted to have on top of the robot and then I played with the levels and curves to change the lighting. It was kind of rushed but since its inserting a drawing into a real life image, I think it's ok.

Retouching Assignment

This is the image I started off with by googling "Celebrities without makeup" and checking large images. It's a picture of Emma Watson that I randomly chose from the pool of images.

I picked the surface blur in the filters and then made a mask to selectively apply it. I played with the values until i found a result I liked which blurred out or removed anything that would be considered detrimental to her beauty.

I took a brush and played with the opacity until it was enough to hide some of the features but not outright remove them. This is the finished result because i could not think of anything else to do and I might have a messed up sense of beauty so I don't know what to fix.

??? Assignment

This was one of our assignments(i think) for the lesson on cropping and masks. I took a life sized model of a robot (Gundam RX-78)and put it in a street view and tried to make it look like it fit in.

For another picture i took photos of Quebeley models which are also from the Gundam series. For this picutre I tried to make it look like one model was dropping into a city while another was looking on.

 Made the yellow stripes stand out because I think it looks interesting

 I wanted this to look like an original 8-bit gameboy game

i tried to make this one look like one of those sci-fi hologram things. i dont think it worked though

Silhouette Assignment

I used these two pictures taken somewhere off the internet. Artists are fura and kuroppu 66.

Then I cropped the knight and made him darker with a brush and adjusting the lighting.

Made a duplicate layer of the dragon and changed it to vivid light. Also changed the lighting to make it darker.

I made an orange circle and i used a bunch of filters to blur it out. I decided to quit after this.
